joomla 1.6 installation

i can't complete the joomla 1.6 installation on my slax6.1.2 operating system. i install lampp as my localhost server. i got an error message when i finish the joomla 1.6 installation.
The error massage is- No configuration file found and no installation code available. Exiting...
i can not access the site and administration.

Please help...
