Hi GUYS.. im just newbie her.. :) im just tried slax and get it working on my pc in my Office over the XP Os installed, and it has active directory and restrictions under our IT . I have internet on my XP but the problem when I Run SLAX over it , I can't access the internet using in my slax. I tried it on my laptop but it is working.. PLEASE! Anyone can help me to get my internet work on it.. Your Prompt Help is much Appreciated..!
i try what you've said . and i think it works.. :D :D i can surf now, thru SLAX. but 1 thing i am concerned about is, can i use a TUNNEL so i can pass by all the restrictions for some websites like FB.. :D it is possible to do tunnel..? :D thank you very much. EM =)
so there.. im having an internet now on my SLAX =) but i get error /lib/libc.so.6 version glibc_2.11' not found on -required to my tunneling software in Linux. Any Idea, how to work with this error..? Thanks U .. Thank U! :) :) :) :)

easy for me to use than slax.. i get it working on my own system but here we go again to my problem using it at the office. i try to copy the proxy of my Machine (here in office) but i still can't get an internet connection, i run "lspci" there is network adapter but when is check "ifconfig" i only see is the Loopback adapter. there is no "eth0" devices.. How can i find solution to solve this and get internet working? Appreciate your prompt response.. THANK U! =) =)

Try to build your driver for porteus :
In console type lspci :
Find the line relative to your ethernet controller device drivers and search the web for it.
Compile it under porteus, then made a module for it with an executable "/etc/rc.d/rc.netdevice" file inside :

/sbin/depmod -ae
sleep 1
/sbin/modprobe name-of-the-driver (find the name in /lib/modules/x.x.xx.xx/kernel/drivers/net)
sleep 1
Reboot porteus with your ethernet module driver.

Im using QEMU 7.0 portable (due to the admin rights issue) i just want to get work my "eht0" and have an internet.. please anybody can Help me how to install a network device. i cant do tweaking all the time coz im in the office. anyone has an idea to fix my problem..? appreciate your response.. thanks.
