i want to change the default font size of the desktop and konquorer but don't want to use a config module i would like to find the place (file) in the system that sets default font size and change it for good.
I prefer to run a read only file system and use (save as) to navigate to the folder i save things in. I feel that my operating system is a little safer this way.
Where do i go to change the font in the system for good. do i have to decompress the core module? the desktop module? i am not sure any help you could give me would be appreciated.
I want to introduce Slax to some older people but i don't think they will do well with the size 8 font the the system seems to use as default.

I almost Marked you post as SPAM! I am sorry. There are some people that are attacking the site far more worse than the occasional offenders. I would like to help you answer but I can't at this time. We need an army of Slax registered users to help clean the SPAM before we can help you or try to help you :( I hope Tomas brings the site down temporarily to STOP the SPAMMERS !

@ wbergin ... the site seems to have been cleaned. Seemed hopeless when I visited last night.

So ... boot slax into always fresh mode, make just the changes you need to make, do nothing else, and then run

#dir2lzm /mnt/live/memory/changes /mysetup.lzm.

And when that finishes, that .lzm will contain your changes, plus a bunch of junk you won't want to reproduce ... but that is another discussion.

With that setup.lzm in hand, you can decide how to make it permanent; either remaster the cd or copy it to /slax/modules if you are booting from usbstick. Search the board on "remaster" if you go that way, very simple procedure.

This simple dir2lzm routine only works perfectly if you only boot it on the same computer where you made the lzm, else it will propagate things like your /mnt directory and /dev directory, etc. Might not matter, try it and see.
